Are Your Employees Experiencing More Customer Aggression? You Make The Call

A survey conducted by wellbeing platform, Sonder, involving more than 1,000 UK employees, revealed that just under half (48 percent) of workers have experienced customer aggression in the workplace, with verbal abuse being the most common form.

Women reported higher rates of verbal abuse, with 88 percent having experienced it, compared to 81 percent of men.

The survey also found that older workers, specifically those from Generation X (ages 45 to 60) and Baby Boomers (61 to 79), were more likely to encounter physical assault at work compared to younger employees. Approximately 12 percent of Gen Z (ages 13 to 28) and 10 percent of Millennials (ages 29 to 44) reported physical assaults, while 14 percent of those ages 45 to 60 reported such experiences.
