On a recent RiskTrends™ Trusted Insight podcast, attorneys Jack McCalmon, Leslie Zieren, and Emily Brodzinski examined the closing of the world-renowned Willows Inn restaurant in the Pacific Northwest. A class of 137 employees sued the employer for wage theft and wrongful termination. The case settled for $1.37 million. This was the second settlement in two years, the first totaling $600,000.
During the 20-minute podcast, the trio also addresses a question generated by a listener to an earlier podcast: "Should job descriptions state what specific duties are to be performed?"
On The Next Podcast:
On the next RiskTrends™ Trusted Insight podcast, the trio will discuss a $45 million dollar jury verdict in a lawsuit against a California school district, brought by the family of two special needs twins who were abused by a school behavioral aide.
